About rising sea levels
Recently there has been numerous studies and media attention regarding the sea levels change in Cornwall.
With a huge amount of our communities living and agriculture within areas at risk of flooding, strategic planning needs to account for predicted changes in sea levels and the likely impact.

Once again the impact globally of sea level changes will be felt here in Cornwall. Underlining the importance of a community that has a resilient local food system.
Cornwall Climate Care
Bryony has worked in Cornwall as a videographer for 10 years specialising in documentary environmental films. She has filmed as an independent film maker for NGOs, charities and other organisations such as Greenpeace, the Centre for Sustainable Energy, Rame Peninsula Beach Care, the Peninsula Trust and Exeter and Falmouth Universities.

Climate change in Cornwall is expected to bring sea-level rise and an increase in the intensity of both rain and drought – both of which will increase the pressures on Cornwall’s wildlife and wild places which are already in decline.

Cornwall Council’s cabinet member for environment says a ground-breaking new report detailing how the region will be impacted by climate change underlines the need to act now to reduce emissions and tackle climate risks.

How this research impacts our strategy
Ten year Strategic Visions in a rapidly changing world has to account for a wide range of climate challenges. This is regardless of if they come to fruition, just take account of the latest expertise.
