An Urban Garden Community

A part of our strategic research is to investigate making our community an urban garden community.

The vision is to develop a community network where we grow vegetables as micro farmers within the community and harvest collectively.

Action 1

Advice guidance and training need to be provided to develop community growers

Community becomes less reliant on supermarket supply chains.

Action 2

A strong coalition with local stakeholders is essential to integrate community farming.

The whole community has the opportunity to have access to local seasonal vegetables.

The initiative must involve local farmers and businesses as a jigsaw of local growers growers, suppliers and consumers.

The local agricultural becomes less dependant on supplying supermarkets.
